6月4日，意大利驻穗总领事馆在广州举办意大利独立日招待会。广东省人大常委会副主任刘雅红应邀出席招待会并致辞。市委外办主任王敦滟一行应邀参会。

　　On June 4, the Consulate General of the Republic of Italy in Guangzhou held a reception in Guangzhou to celebrate Italy's National Day. Liu Yahong, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, was invited to attend and deliver an address. Wang Dunyan, Director of Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Office, attended the reception upon invitation.

　　刘雅红在致辞中表示，广东与意大利的友好交往源远流长，在经贸、文化、艺术、教育等领域保持着紧密合作。今年是中国“十五五”开局之年，也是万众瞩目的 APEC“中国年”。广东正以崭新的姿态拥抱世界，期待与意大利各界朋友携手并进，在经贸投资、科技创新、绿色能源、智能制造及人文领域不断密切交流、精诚合作，分享发展机遇，共绘宏伟蓝图。

　　In her address, Liu said that Guangdong’s exchanges and cooperation with Italy have a long and rich history, maintaining close cooperation across various fields such as trade, culture, arts, and education. The year 2026 marks the start of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the much-anticipated APEC “China Year”. Guangdong is embracing the world in uplifted spirits. We eagerly look forward to joining hands with friends from all walks of life in Italy, to deepen exchanges and practical cooperation in trade and investment, scientific and technological innovation, green energy, smart manufacturing, and the people-to-people and cultural fields. Together, we can better share development opportunities and create a brighter future together.

　　意大利驻穗总领事德派罗在致辞中表示，得益于高层互访与文明互鉴，中意关系正积极发展。驻穗总领馆致力于深化双边科技与工商交流。借中国“十五五”规划及中意经济合作混委会第16次会议契机，双方在科技创新、高附加值领域及传统“意大利制造”行业等领域加强合作。

　　In his address, Consul General Valerio De Parolis said that China-Italy relations are developing positively, thanks to high-level mutual visits and mutual learning between civilizations. The Consulate General is committed to deepening bilateral exchanges in science, technology, business, and industry. With the opportunity of China's 15th Five-Year Plan and the 16th Italy-China Joint Economic Commission, both sides will strengthen their cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, high value-added sectors, and traditional "Made in Italy" industries.

　　招待会上，王敦滟与德派罗进行友好交流，介绍湛江基本情况及与意大利友城曼托瓦省、圭迪佐洛市交往成果，希望总领馆继续发挥牵线搭桥作用，深挖湛江市与意大利合作潜能，深化在经贸、教育、人文等领域互动交流。德派罗表示，意大利驻穗总领馆愿进一步增进彼此了解，深化经贸、文化、绿色发展等领域项目对接，以友城为纽带，开展务实合作实现互利共赢。

　　During the reception, Wang Dunyan and Consul General De Parolis had friendly exchanges. Wang briefly introduced Zhanjiang and highlighted the achievements in its friendly ties with Mantua Province and Guidizzolo. She expressed the hope that the Consulate General could continue to serve as a bridge, tapping into the potential for cooperation between Zhanjiang and Italy, and deepening interactive exchanges in fields such as trade, education, and culture.

　　Consul General De Parolis said that the Consulate General is willing to further enhance mutual understanding and strengthen project alignment in areas including trade, culture, and green development. He emphasized sister-city partnerships as a link to carry out pragmatic cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
